On 20 June 2017, the 46-year-old has shifted his ways for the betterment of the Team, but this time he concretely accepted that the reason for his resignation is the difference of opinion between the two strong individuals. There could be no other reason for his leaving the team.
Our cricket team had touched heights of Glory under his guidance and supervision, if we see the track record of the team in the past 1 year then it comes out with 12 wins out of 17 test matches which are in itself remarkable, the credit goes to this man for his outstanding results by which India reached the no. 1 spot in test rankings under his tenure. There has been a long history of non-acceptance of a native coach.
Whatever be the record, history repeats itself again. Earlier we had Chappel-Ganguly misunderstanding issues, but no one thought that the rift between Kohli and Kumble end in such a way. His decision of leaving has proved that money is not everything to him. He left with Grace and dignity.
