Tesla car shot into space by Elon Musk’s SpaceX

Prior in this month, the Falcon Heavy rocket was launched into space by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. SpaceX is no common name anymore! It also launched a red Tesla Roadster along with the rocket, a vehicle that is floating around in space around the earth.

The path of this electric car is being tracked as it flies through the space and a new study is predicting its journey around the planet through the solar system, in the coming many years. They are tracking and foretelling its path using the same techniques that have been in exercise by scientists to trail the asteroids around earth. The floating and movement of the Tesla car is much similar to these asteroids. Thankfully, the SpaceX team under Musk’s able guidance devoted a website to show the real time journey of the Roadster, to calculate the position and distance traveled bu the car, the speed and further warranty of no damage. The live streaming cameras, WhereisRoadster.com, on the car give us unforgettable shots of the planets.

According to NASA’s accumulated data, the Roadster is over 3 million kilometers or about 2 million miles away from earth. While it was to enter the orbit of Mars, it moved in a trajectory motion going slightly beyond its path. However, fortunately it did not enter the asteroid belt. Based on these accurate data, we can follow the car’s path around the Sun and other planets from today till the end of 2020. By this visualization seen live, we can predict when the car would get close to the Earth or the previous target, Mars.

No success lies without hurdles. Launched just a few days ago, Musk's Tesla Roadster is already going way farther away into the Solar system, contradicting the forecasted path. The intention was to put in on a path around the Sun and map out the distance of the Mars’ orbit by its travel. Claims are that the Falcon Heavy rocket overran the Roadster’s trajectory and put in an orbit way beyond that of Mars’.

Looks like the engine of the vehicle worked a extra too much and too well!

All the science enthusiasts are enriched with the knowledge that maybe one day, the Roadster might crash into either the Earth or Venus or even the Sun! But it won’t be happening anytime soon. There is no need to worry because if it does collide, its likely to take million of years. Also, the chances of a hit are only 6 per cent. The likelihood of a hit with Venus is a mere 2.5 percent.

Predictions proclaim a very close pass to the Earth by the year 2091, when the same enthusiasts would happily wish to retrieve it for their amusement! It will be desirable to reclaim it out of space in this closest encounter possible. In the present times, much to everyone’s relief, Tesla would only make it to a distance of about 160 million miles from the Solar star, Sun dodging the asteroid belt.

One of the researches from University of Toronto, Hanno Rein claimed that while we do not know what to expect from things coming from far off in the solar system, here it’s a case reversal. The object is from Earth, instilled there and the question still remains as to where will it go! His researches and calculations predict various close encounters with Mars and other hidden plants but actual collisions are very unlikely.

For now however, the only and the least thing that we can do is to look out for that speeding car in the twinkling night sky, hoping for a close encounter than a collision!
