Each article you read is distinct and unique from the other one. It maybe the story line, the content, the type or anything. But every article also has things which one can find similar. Every article goes with similar research work, formatting and editing as well. Every article needs steps to be followed. Every step followed is a process which end ups or turn outs to give a good article.

1. Choosing topic
The very first thing to do is choose a topic. Selection of topic has so much to do with your article because if it doesn't suit your interest or if it is something which is not relevant enough then it might become tough to connect with the audience. It is always the thought that matters, if a particular topic has certain value or has an impact over you then you might excel in writing your one of the best articles just because it purely comes from within.
2. Understand the topic
The next step of writing an article is to comprehend what the article is about, what content suits the article, what is the type of article and so on and so forth. It requires questioning and interrogation from your end without that you may not be able to create an article out of mere topic. Give efforts for the article and think of how would it engage the audience and how would it be able to connect. The type of article you choose should be appropriate enough that anyone can easily grasp the motive of the article. Try to indulge into the topic deeply so that output results into the best one.
3. Research
Every article you start to write needs great deal of time for brainstorming and research. You cannot just jot down anything that pops up in your head. It always needs to make sense. The words and points you put forward should have a base. An article which is written without any base is a big fail. One should read a lot to create an article, understand the audience's interest, size of an article and everything which is necessary. An article should be clear and concise. Unnecessary exaggeration makes the article dull and boring. One should avoid using words which are not required to be mentioned. Eliminate unnecessary exaggeration and elaboration.
4. Be Different
Sometimes your topic is just as similar to many people out there who are writing lots and lots about it and to place your article at the top you have to find different ways. Try bringing up uniqueness in your article. Write it in a manner which makes the article stand out from others. Add a part of 'You' in it and no one else can do that better then you yourself. Add stuff which catches the attention of the readers. Write stuff in bold where necessary. Write headings which are different from others and also are eye-catching. Make it brief, to the point and add your style of writing to it.
5. Do Not Plainly Copy and Paste
Plagiarism is a bad thing to do first of all and also it doesn't make sense to copy the entire thing without even a thought and calling it your article. Using an article as a reference is another thing and blankly copying is different. This is unacceptable and also it may lead to problems. One can always refer, read and add their thoughts but writing nearly similar is not appropriate and also not advisable.
6. Create an outline
After everything is sorted and you have the clear idea about what your article is supposed to be and what things are to be avoided you should create an outline about the article. It roughly gives you an idea about what it shall look like. It is an instance or a brief version of your article. If still you find any errors you can rectify and revise it at this stage. Also add few quotes or evidences to create a better impact.
7. Final job - The Writing Stage
When you are finally done you can start writing your article but you have to be cautious and remember certain things while you write. Do write headings, introduction or briefing about the article. If you add quotes try to mention the writer who wrote that, it makes your article look more reliable. Be connected to your outline and also do not write things which aren't connected to a particular heading or the article. It should draw a perfect way for the reader and one should always write an article which a person can understand from the tip till the end. Try and add more facts in your article. This makes the reader engaged and interested towards the article. Do not repeat things it irritates the reader. Develop an article which the reader while reading would feel that he learnt a thing out of it. Every paragraph should have that sort of a start which makes the reader want to read more. The article should have a delivery tone which should change according to the context. Unnecessary and non required changes should be avoided.
8. Proofreading and editing
The article might have errors or grammatical mistakes which should be eliminated. The entire article should be read twice and thrice. This shall help in elimination of spelling or grammatical errors. If necessary remove a particular line or paragraph, if there is a doubt about it being appropriate. Rewrite and revise the whole thing if required. Make few reliable people read your article so that they can give you feedback and you can work on it accordingly and if needed find yourself an editor. Finally when you are confident enough about your article you can send it for publishing.
