How will you make sure that the person you are writing to will excitedly open our resume? Start with your cover letter. Make it fantastic! And with our easy suggestions, drafting a memorable cover letter will be no rocket science. Here are few pointers to help you out.
1. Stand out in front of recruiter's eyes.
Tell people why you are different. List those skills which can be a boon
for the company. But don't just list all of them since it may make for a
boring read. Be creative and write a story instead.
2. Use of casual tone.
Stop being so formal while writing. Also, avoid using cheesy lines.
Make it clear and compact. Try not to sound desperate in your writing.
There’s no need to please your recruiter so soon! First, try to build a
unique identity in front of them.
3. Don't measure chances of selection with the length of your letter.
The more the better? At least, in this case, the answer is no. So don’t
follow rules blindly but use common sense instead. Give necessary
information only. They have your resume and will look up for details.
Thus, including additional details only to fill space is not a good idea.
